After a busy summer, I am so excited to bring our Walk & Talk events back! Last spring we gathered at Camille’s a few times for coffee and an easy walk along Scenic 98 (you can check out my Reel of the experience here) and I always left saying “I needed that.” There’s something about fresh air, moving your body, and connecting with other women in our community that just leaves you feeling recharged and ready to take on the day.

Now that the school year is starting back up, it feels like the perfect time to pencil in a little something for yourself. Drop the kids off, grab your coffee, and come join us.

What Is a Walk & Talk?

This is not a workout class, and it is not a networking event with name tags and elevator pitches. It is simply an excuse to get outside, meet a few new faces, and remember why we all love living here in the first place.

We will start at a beautiful townhome near Henderson Beach Resort and take an easy two mile walk along Scenic 98, out to the new Tarpon Beach Access and back. Along the way you will catch views of the Gulf, a handful of beach access points, and some of the prettiest beach houses in Destin. Afterward, we will head back to enjoy bowls from everbowl, a new spot in Miramar Beach serving craft superfood bowls, smoothies, wraps, and coffee.

The Route

The two-mile route follows Scenic 98 the entire way, so the walk itself is just as enjoyable as the company. Bring a stroller, bring a friend, or come solo and leave with a few new ones.

Meet the Local’s Group

I could not think of a better group to co-host this walk with than Kersten Bowman and her team of Realtors, known around town as The Local’s Group. Beyond helping people find the perfect home or sell their current one, they are constantly sharing the best local restaurants, hidden gems, small businesses, and coastal lifestyle inspiration. Their whole approach to real estate is rooted in community, which made this partnership feel like an obvious yes.

Fueling Up With Everbowl

After the walk, everbowl will have bowls ready for everyone to enjoy. If you have not tried them yet, everbowl is a new addition to Miramar Beach, tucked into Miramar Plaza Driftwood on Highway 98. Their menu is full of colorful, craft superfood bowls loaded with fresh fruit, granola, and all the toppings, plus smoothies, wraps, melts, and coffee for anyone who needs a little more than a bowl to start the day.

A Peek at Where We Are Meeting

Our meeting spot is a special one. The townhome at 2701 Scenic Hwy 98 Unit 4 is currently for sale, with 3 bedrooms, 3 baths, and 1,710 square feet. It overlooks the Gulf and the protected dunes of Henderson Beach State Park, with a large rooftop deck that is made for watching the sunset. If you have ever wondered what it would be like to live along this stretch of Scenic 98, this is your chance to see it up close before the walk even begins.
