5 Emerald Coast Restaurants Just Featured in Florida’s First Michelin Guide

Florida’s very first Michelin Guide has officially expanded beyond Miami, Orlando, and Tampa — and the Emerald Coast made its debut in a big way. Five local restaurants spanning Destin, Miramar Beach, 30A, and Pensacola were recognized in the inaugural Florida Michelin Guide, putting Northwest Florida’s food scene firmly on the map.

From elevated Southern comfort food to tasting-menu experiences and standout barbecue, these spots represent the creativity and quality that locals have loved for years.

Here are the five restaurants that earned Michelin recognition along the Emerald Coast:

Bitterroot | Destin

Bitterroot has become one of the area’s most beloved restaurants for elevated Southern comfort food and craft cocktails. The atmosphere blends modern farmhouse charm with a laid-back neighborhood feel, making it equally fitting for brunch, date night, or a casual dinner with friends.

While menu items rotate seasonally, Chef Chadwick Donelson always serves up fresh, flavorful and creative dishes. From hearty entrees to sharable small plates, the cuisine is thoughtfully crafted and made with locally sourced ingredients. Even dessert feels elevated here, especially their pecan pie paired with brown butter ice cream.

Bitterroot’s Michelin recognition highlights what locals already knew: some of Destin’s best dining experiences happen beyond the waterfront.

A Mano Panino | Pensacola

Located inside Pensacola’s beautifully restored Sacred Heart Hospital building, A Mano Panino proves that a sandwich shop can absolutely deserve Michelin attention.

This fast-casual concept specializes in Tuscan-style schiacciata bread — thinner and crispier than focaccia — layered with carefully balanced ingredients and house-made elements. The sandwiches feel refined without losing their casual charm, combining bold flavors with high-quality meats, spreads, and toppings.

The restaurant has built a loyal following thanks to standout creations like roast beef with horseradish and mustard relish or tuna confit paired with olive tapenade and giardiniera. It’s the kind of spot that feels equally perfect for grabbing lunch to-go or lingering on the patio with friends.

Evie Mae’s BBQ | Miramar Beach

Evie Mae’s BBQ brings authentic Texas-style barbecue to the Emerald Coast, and Michelin clearly took notice.

The moment you arrive, the smell of slow-smoked meats sets the tone. Inside, the experience is straightforward and classic: order at the counter, choose your cuts, select your sides, and prepare for some seriously impressive barbecue.

Favorites include sliced brisket, smoked turkey breast with a pepper-heavy bark, and the green chile cheese sausage packed with smoky flavor and melted cheese. The sides are equally memorable, especially the baked potato casserole and bacon-studded green beans.

It’s the kind of place that feels unfussy in the best possible way. Just great barbecue done exceptionally well!

Daytrader Tiki Bar & Restaurant | Seaside, FL

Daytrader takes the idea of a tiki bar and gives it a polished, coastal 30A twist.

Located in the heart of Seaside, Florida, the restaurant blends tropical cocktails, island-inspired dishes, and fresh Gulf seafood into an atmosphere that feels vibrant and welcoming. The colorful outdoor seating and beachy design make it one of the most fun dining experiences along 30A.

The menu pulls inspiration from Polynesian, Hawaiian, and Asian flavors, with dishes ranging from pork lumpia and crispy tuna rice to seafood-forward entrées and rice bowls. Their cocktail program is equally popular, pairing perfectly with the laid-back but elevated vibe.

And if you save room for dessert, the coconut custard cream pie is a must.

Roux 30A | Grayton Beach

For one of the Emerald Coast’s most intimate and elevated dining experiences, Roux 30A stands in a category of its own.

This small Grayton Beach restaurant centers around a seasonal tasting menu served in a cozy, open-kitchen setting where guests can watch each course come together in real time. The experience feels personal, creative, and intentionally paced.

The menu changes frequently based on seasonal ingredients and Chef Nikhil Abuvala’s inspiration, but diners can expect inventive flavor combinations, beautifully plated dishes, and a strong emphasis on local seafood and produce. Every course feels carefully considered, turning dinner into a full culinary experience rather than just a meal.

Its Michelin recognition further cements Roux 30A as one of the most unique restaurants on 30A.

A Huge Moment for the Emerald Coast Food Scene

For years, the Emerald Coast has been known primarily for its beaches, but this Michelin recognition proves the area’s culinary scene deserves national attention too.

Whether you’re craving elevated Southern cuisine, authentic barbecue, globally inspired seafood, or an unforgettable tasting menu, these five restaurants showcase just how diverse and exciting dining along the Gulf Coast has become.
