Meet Kristen Webb: mom of four, creator behind @mybeachytribe and a true embodiment of the Destin lifestyle.
Originally from Boston, Kristen and her husband fell in love with the Emerald Coast on a spontaneous trip when their oldest son was still a baby. After years in Tennessee and the fast-paced restaurant world, they craved a slower, family-centered lifestyle and Destin offered exactly that. So they made a plan, worked hard, and sold nearly everything they owned to move to a new city where they didn’t know a single person.
Nine years later, Kristen has built a life that mirrors the relaxed, sun-soaked pace of Destin. A former yoga teacher turned full-time content creator, she now shares her world of beach-town living, travel, and motherhood with her loyal online community. Her bright, colorful posts showcase everything from local spots and family adventures to honest, laugh-out-loud mom moments that so many can relate to.
While My Beachy Tribe has evolved over the years, Kristen’s online journey began in 2014, sharing her story of becoming pregnant after a seven-year struggle with infertility. That honesty resonated with many women facing similar challenges, and her community began to grow. Today, she continues to inspire followers with the same authentic, family-focused perspective.
Through collaborations with local businesses, resorts, and national brands, she brings the Emerald Coast to life for her audience while always staying grounded in what matters most: family. “My husband and I both work from our phones and laptops,” she says. “We have breakfast and dinner together every day and spend more time together in our beach lifestyle. I’d encourage anyone to step outside their comfort zone and live the life you desire. Finding happiness in everyday things is what success looks like to me.”

Boshamps
Boshamps brings together laid-back coastal vibes and seriously good Gulf-to-table food. You can kick back on the deck with fresh seafood and a cold drink while the kids play in the sand below.

Stand Up Paddle Boarding
For a true local’s view of Destin, grab a paddle board and hit the water. On calm days, the Gulf is glassy and perfect for a smooth paddle; when it’s choppier, the bay offers an easy alternative. Launch from Captain Leonard Destin Park and make your way toward Crab Island. You may even spot some dolphins! For that clear, blue water everyone loves, make sure to visit around high tide.

The Gulf on Okaloosa Island
Set right on the bay, The Gulf on Okaloosa Island is all about relaxed, open-air dining with a view. It’s the kind of place where you can kick back with fresh seafood and a drink while the kids run and play nearby. Built from repurposed shipping containers and surrounded by palm trees, it’s effortlessly cool and always family-friendly. You can even visit by boat!

Destin Commons
Destin Commons is the go-to spot when you’re ready for a little off-the-beach fun. Catch a movie, browse the shops, or grab an ice cream and stroll under the string lights. The kids can burn off energy at the playground or splash pad, and there’s almost always something happening—from monthly markets to seasonal events that bring the whole community out.

Destin Harbor
There’s always something happening along Destin Harbor. From food festivals and live music to the famous Destin Fishing Rodeo, it’s a favorite gathering spot for locals and visitors alike. Stroll the boardwalk, grab a bite at one of the waterfront restaurants, and stick around for the sunset.

Southern Star Dolphin Cruise
Kristen and her family hop aboard the Southern Star a few times a year, and say it never gets old. Every trip’s a little different. Sometimes you see playful dolphins swimming alongside the boat, other days you may also spot sea turtles, rays, or even the occasional manatee. It’s a relaxed, family-friendly way to get out on the water and see Destin from a new perspective.
